In Harlow’s Harvey Centre, two cars seem to have taken a wrong turn. This surprising installation by Samuel Padfield confronts visitors with big questions about where we are and where we’re going. Listen out for the Drive Time radio show!

Background Information on Samuel Padfield

Samuel Padfield (b.1987 London) graduated with an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art in the summer of 2021. On graduating he was awarded the Sculpture Town Artist in Residence Award from the Harlow Art Trust in partnership with Pearson Education. Earlier this year he was awarded a grants from the Henry Moore Foundation and the Essex Cultural Fund for this proposed project in Harlow. In 2020 he was a finalist in the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize in London, and in 2021 a finalist in Manifest’s International Painting Annual in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 2021 he was included in group exhibitions at the Saatchi gallery and the Freud Museum amongst others, andhas recently completed a major commission from Christie’s for a group exhibition in July in their gallery space in London
